Get Food, Shop and Buy Art at Farmer's Market

  • HB has their twist on the common farmer's market. Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire occurs each Friday at Pier Plaza, 315 Pacific Coast Highway.

Having a farmer's market near the beach is always convenient. It starts at PCH/Main st. This is a great way to have a picnic at the beach. Get the picnic basket for collecting exotic fruits, veggies and gourmet snacks.

Along with the food, there are vendor booths with fresh sunflowers, glassware, craft items, purses and much more.

Art-A-Faire features vibrant original frames of California skyline, hand-made sculpture and various trinkets of artistic quality.

Parking is at 1st street where there is a lot.

    Skatin' HB!

After the actual surfing, skating is a way to get around in HB. It is more like a life style transportation in this nice beach town, where everything and everybody are very casual and relaxed.

Take a skateboard and enjoy this town, boards are allowed along the 8.5 mile paved beach trail. Then there are two skate parks for enthusiastics.
One skate park is located in front of Huntington Beach High School near the corner of Main Street and Yorktown Avenue. The second skate park is visible from Golden West Street near Warner Avenue at Murdy Park. Knee pads and helmets are required in both locations.

    Dress Casually

At HB you can enter almost anywhere in your bikinis. Casual, comfortable clothing is fine all year round. In fact, Hawaiian shirts always look good—and right at home—in Huntington Beach. Jackets and ties are optional even in the most elegant of restaurants. During evenings and winter days when the ocean breezes turn cool, you’ll want a jacket, sweater or sweatshirt. Dress in layers so you can remove clothing as the day warms up and replace it as the day cools off, particularly if you plan to stay on the beach.

I am kind of caffeine addict and especially when I am in US: The coffee there is good. LOL. From HB I didn't find very many coffee shops so I got my satisfaction daily from Starbucks. Which was totally ok for me. The staff there was fun, very nice types, absolutely fantastic ones. Too bad that I didn't asked that one cute guy out...just kiddin' !

But a tip for you. Starbuck is there and a lot better than some other coffee shops along the Main Street.

    Address: 221 Main Street
