    Irvine Harvest Festival or whatever

You're better off mowing your 20 square feet of grass and complaining about gas prices to your neighbor than going to this event. They'll charge you to get in and then charge your for anything you want to see/do inside. Don't do it!

Unique Suggestions: Sneak through the fence and walk around. You'll see it wasn't worth the effort to move your feet.

Fun Alternatives: Mow your lawn or complain to your neighbor about gas prices. Or, go to Boomers and blow a few bucks on video games, go-karts, batting cages, laser tag, and miniature golf.
Boomers is off of Michelson and Harvard (across from the old Ice Rink, which is now a temple. ~sigh~)

The Irvine Spectrum is a definite tourist trap. Good luck finding available parking on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Rumor has it that the center is hurting, but I can't see how. The Sprectrum is located where the 405 and 5 freeways meet, and includes a mega-plex movie theater, Dave and Buster's, etc. I would go during the week, if possible.
