    I am not sure that there is an actual restaurant in Klamath! (this place is sooo small) However, there are many places to buy smoked salmon and salmon jerky! This will positively tide you over until you hit the next town!

    Favorite Dish: Excellent salmon jerky prepared right on the spot in these little shacks...authentic and good!

Klamath Warnings and Dangers

    Watch your children when they climb the gigantic boots of Paul Bunyan because they might fall. There are no steps getting there and for the safety of your child, watch them while they try to get to the top of his boots! When they dismount or come down the boots, make sure to assist them.

    Okay! So Trees of Mystery may be considered a tourist trap by everyone on the planet! OH Well! It is fun! And not to mention, a memory you will have for 30 years like I did!
    By the way...my daughter still likes to stop there!

Klamath Off The Beaten Path

  • On highway 101 between Klamath...

    On highway 101 between Klamath and Trinidad is the Newton B Drury Scenic By-way! If you see this exit...take it! By doing this you will see the biggest Roosevelt Elk herd in the US! And you will be able to drive through huge amounts of Redwoods! Also, you can take the coastal trail and see where the Redwoods meet the pacific ocean!

    Lost man Creek is great...but if you intend on walking the entire trail bring good shoes, jacket, and lots of water! It is 10 miles up!!

    Lost man Creek is a trail you will pass on the highway (101) heading north to klamath! It is an absolutely beautiful drive up to the trail head!
