La Mirada Things to Do

Nothing much to do in the city of La Mirada, but Biola University is a cool place to take a walk. The best part is the Rose of Sharon Prayer Chapel, which offers a quiet place for meditation and prayers.

My rating: 3 stars out of 5.

Inside the Rose of Sharon Prayer Chapel. In the beginning was the Word. Bells. Giant Jesus. Olive tree garden.

La Mirada is home to BIOLA University. BIOLA used to be located in downtown Los Angeles and the name BIOLA stood for Bible Institute Of Los Angeles.

BIOLA is now in La Mirada but BIOLM just didn't have the same appeal as BIOLA,

Here's the menu for Classic Burger. All the dishes are classic American foods.

Favorite Dish: Take you're pick. I usually go for quanity over quality... Just kidding I do have a somewhat sophisticated taste in foods, just give me fries with that...

It's 'comfort Food', meaning don't come here if you're dieting.

The also do take-out, call ahead, and they have a drive-thru window.

Favorite Dish: 1] Double Cheeseburger Lunchbox Special. Comes with fries and onion ruings, hold the fried mushrooms and zucchini

2] New York Steak Dinner - comes with dinner rools, homemade soup, grilled vegetables and baked potatoe.

There are horse trails throughout the city of La Mirada so it's conceivable to get around the city on a horse. This equestrian corral is a park of Creek Park and was built in 1985.

This mural is painted on the side of a building at BIOLA University. I suspect the people here take their religion seriously. It's probably not a good idea to mock their faith when visiting the campus.

La Mirada also has a real golf course, not that frisbee stuff. The only traps here are the sand traps.

Miscellaneous: La Mirada Regional Park has a 19-hole frisbee golf course. So if you come here, do bring your frisbee.

This picture shows a frisbee golf 'hole.'

Fondest memory: Although La Mirada is a suburb of Los Angeles, there's still many pastoral scenes like this working barn.

Many houses are also zoned for horses. I believe your property has to have at least 1 acre.
