Luggage and bags: Backpack for hiking canyons
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Shades, swimsuit, flipflops, and a towel (the water is colder than it looks).
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen (hat is optional for your bald spot)
Photo Equipment: Bring your best foto gear, lenses and haze filters, and / or lots of batteries for the digital camera. Laguna Beach, Orange County and the surrounding canyons are a photographers dream.
Miscellaneous: Money. Laguna Beach is not cheap.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Adventure Travel
Photo Equipment: Bring a water-resistant camera if you plan to take pictures near the water.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There's many nice reefs along the coast of Laguna Beach which attract many kinds of marine life. So plan on taking along your swim suit and snorkel gear to see the underwater sites.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Laguna Beach this February weekend was warm until the sun set -- and then it quickly got nippy and then downright cold within 1/2 hour.
Photo Equipment: Learn to use the "backlit" setting on your camera.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: At 1000 Steps Beach (I counted 231 steps), with a surf advisory in effect the waves hitting the rocks being spectacular made up for the poor tide pools (through the cave to the left from the stairs). It would be wise to have footwear to wade through water and scramble over semi-sharp rocks. And don't forget sunscreen, even in what locals call "winter".
