Areo is a favorite shops in the quaint & walkable little village of Laguna Beach. When you walk in the door the smell of fine scented soap and candles fills the air. There are also nice earthy gift items, cards and accent pieces for the home and garden. The shop is upscale but not outrageously priced. And if you end up buying something, be sure to have it gift wrapped. The natural corrugated boxes are wrapped with nice ribbon and sealed with a gold hot wax seal. It is very nice looking and completely free of charge.
This cute shell shack is located on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) close to down town Laguna Beach in the Laguna Village Shopping center. What a great store if you want to take home something from the beach. This is a home accessory store that has kitchen and table wares, bedding, candles, bath products and jewelry that reflect the ocean. Seahorses, sea shells and crabs adorn cutlery, serving spoons, cups and plates. Books, items for the garden, sea glass, river rocks and many other things that I can't even remember. My visits to Laguna Beach are not too often but I always enjoy visiting this store when I come to town and I usually buy something.
Here are some links to a lot of the art galleries in/around Laguna Beach.

Oh Lydia, oh Lydia, say, have you met Lydia?
Lydia The Tattooed Lady.
She has eyes that folks adore so,
and a torso even more so.
Lydia, oh Lydia, that encyclo-pidia.
Oh Lydia The Queen of Tattoo.
On her back is The Battle of Waterloo.
Beside it, The Wreck of the Hesperus too.
And proudly above waves the red, white, and blue.
You can learn a lot from Lydia!
What to pay: This is actually an excellent, professional and very clean shop with talented body artists.
In downtown laguna. This shop has a great selection of clothes. It's a little more expensive than it used to be but everything is supercute. The quality is really good and you find stuff that you wouldn't find in other places. Also they support local designers for jewelry and clothes.
What to buy: Get whatever you like. It's all good.
What to pay: It's about 50$ to 300$ unless it's on sale. It's a little more expensive than it used to be, but you can get a lot of stuff for 50$. And they always have sales.
Forest Street is tree lined street with many one of a kind boutique shops , art galleries and cafe's to choose from. The Village of Laguna is very charming and is best enjoyed when you are taking a casual stroll. I enjoy looking at the nice architecture as well as checking out all the merchandise inside. You can find anything from an inexpensive souvenier to a high priced original painting by a local artist .
A home furnishings store with some interesting items. Worth checking out if you are in the area. I just love shopping in Laguna Beach. It's always interesting.
