Ethnic/Cultural Diversity
Long Beach can be considered the most diverse city in the U.S. There is a range of races and ethnicites, mostly generalized as white, black, latino and asian. Within the group (about 15 percent) of Asian-Americans, a significant Cambodian population can be found in L.B, especially along Anaheim St.
Beyond race, there is a big presence of gay and lesbians. The annual Long beach Lesbian and Gay Pride parade is a popular event held in downtown.
