Long Beach , California

Here is where more of the locals would be to shop, see a movie and dine. It is away from the beach area but the surroundings here are colorful, less crowded and is near more eastern attractions of Long Beach such as El Dorado Park, a lush and ample place for activities.

I have come here for good grub at Lucille BBQ and Inka Grill restaurants!!

Belmont Shore and its great variety!

One of the most common problems when I travel is the dinner time. That’s because it takes forever for me to decide where to eat, and usually I start looking for it after I am starving! So that is why I recommend the Belmont Shore. It is a long avenue about 15 mins away from Long Beach and it offers an immense variety of food, including Greek, Mexican, American, Indian, and French restaurants.

The Pike parking lot

In an area known as The Pike and located where the old boardwalk and amusement park was is and area that is fast becoming the shopping and eating area for Long Beach.

This area is located near the convention center and has just about any kind of shop or eatting place one could want. This is also one of the best places to park while you are visiting the area.

C'mon in. The beer is cold today.

Joe Jost's. This is a bar on Anaheim Street that has been there since the 20's. They have ice cold tap beer and sausage sandwiches. They have these pickled eggs that they serve with a basket of pretzels and they are firey hot. It has heavy wood beams that are blackened from years of smoke. Just a neat place for a beer and a travel story. You have seen this place in commercials and didn't know it. It has been the setting for Sam Adam's, Heineken, and Gillian's Irish Red commercials.
