    Alegria Cocina: Flamenco Fever!

    by jenn_d Written Jan 19, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This place is packed with a festive crowd on the weekends. If you are celebrating a special occasion- as was my friend David, you may even be brought up on stage to for a special dance. This dancers usual partner looked like Antonio Banderas. Rrrrr!

Favorite Dish: Does Sangria count as a food?

  • Algeria: Charged me twice for over $200!!!!!!

by vincelopez Updated Apr 23, 2008

Decent place with okay food, but upon returning home found out Algeria charged my credit card $120, and my wifes card that was at the bar $120. That's alot of money to be charged twice! I called the restaurant the next day to speak to the manager and was put on hold only to be disconnected. I called back and eventually spoke to the manager who assured, the matter would be resolved on Monday. Alas, it is Wednesday and I am still trying to resolve the matter. I try to support local business. Don't do this to anybody, especially the locals Algeria!!!!

Favorite Dish: Seafood dish was adequate, and wifes chicken pasta was semi-flavorful. Hard to be appreciative after being charged twice and then ignored though.

    Algeria Cocina: Good Spanish food

    Alegria

Alegria has a large selection of different types of paella from seafood to beef and chicken. The Dinner menu is has a large variety of pork and beef dinners to choose from if you do not like paella.

When you are waiting at the bar for a table (the place is packed on the weekends) you can feast on garlic fried bread or order one of the 10 to 15 different types of tapas that they offer.

Alegria offers a very good lunch menu as well for the folks that live and work in the area which is priced at $7 per person based on 10 people. They also do party trays that you can have delivered.

Favorite Dish: I enjoyed the music and dancing that was going on during dinner, However it did make it hard to talk with others.
