 | Long Beach Restaurants | Tips 1 - 10 of 143 | | If you want to dine all-American style style without going to MacDo, give Arhcibald's a try. It is a gourmet version of fast food. It is located along the trendy 2nd St in Belmont Shore neighborhood. Here you can grub on burgers, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, fish and chips and more! What's nice here on the menu is that breakfast is served all day. So, if you are in the mood for eggs and bacon after 12 pm, you will be satisfied here! I was drawn in by the 2 for 1 tacos deal (on mondays and Tuesdays). This is a place where I'd hang out often. The atmosphere is quaint and fun with music (often 60s theme) and TV. The dining area itself is quite small but colorful with a diner parlor seating. How cozy!
I had fish tacos here on 2 for 1 day. I like how the lettuce was dark green, instead of the light, almost white-green produce that has less nutrients. Everything on the menu is cooked fresh right after the order. This may not seem like a big deal, but it is when considering that this is American fast food! Try any burger or sandwich here because these are menu specialities. George welcomes you here. Say "hopa" to him! His fine Greek place is in a perfect setting, located in downtown Long beach, along the entertaining Pine Ave. The beach is just a few blocks away. There is both indoor and patio seating, both provide a romantic atmosphere. During some weekends and other nights, one may find a band or singer performing. Eating and drinking here is real, not imitation Greek. Pitas, dolmas, feta, kalamata olives, avgolemono soup are the common favorites to devour. One can sample the fine wines before choosing one to you taste. Next time I'm feeling Greek in Long beach, I'm going straight to George!

We had reservations for noon to have our Xmas brunch aboard the Queen Mary. Our table was near the kitchen and the buffet, great location. First we were served water, orange juice, and champagne. Then we were on our own to sample the different Internatiomal foods. There was one for breakfast food and someone making omlettes to order. There was a seafood station that also had assorted pasta dishes and cheeses. There was an Asian station and a Mexico station. A station to get prime rib, ham, and all that stuff that I didn't look at. Then there was a bar out in the middle filled with pasteries. YUMMMMM Of course there was also the dessert bar. A lady was making crepes there plus it had cheesecake, flan, cakes, and cookies.
Everything was good. I would have liked my omlette to have a few more spices but you can't please everyone. THE spot during the Long Beach Grand Prix. Dock your boat here or cross your fingers and hope tomeet a kindly skipper. I visit the YH most often in the summer.

This is one of my sons favorite places to have a leisurly breakfast, while he dreams of buying a boat someday. Dockside dining on Alamitos Bay. Open for breakfast and lunch.
I couldn't decide whether to have the veggie omlette or the fish sandwich. I ended up ordering the omlette and my hubby got the fish. Mine was best. Leave a Comment

As you walk into the dining room on the Queen Mary, you will see a sign saying BRUNCH for the little ones. It is so cute how they have set up a buffet that the little ones can reach. I don't know how this actually works out but I liked the idea. We didn't have any little ones with us that day so we didn't try it. We went to this restaurant so we could sit outside, with a heater, and watch the beautiful sunset. It is right on the sandy beach so people were out jogging. Plus there is a bike path so people were riding their bikes, skating, and pushing strollers. At dusk there was a great view of the sunsetting.
We had some beers and wine here and watched the sunset. Then I had a cup of black bean soup and shared a yummy veggie pizza with my son.. We stopped in here to look at their menu and was delighted to see they had an open hearth oven for baking pita bread. Right away we decided we must have a pita sandwich. There was open dining in the back and outside in front but we stayed inside and ate.
I had the falafel sandwich. The guys, being carnavours, had lamb and chicken sandwiches. Everyone was happy! Leave a Comment Theme: Middle EasternPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: Behind Belmont Brewing Co.

There are many Thai restaurants in Long Beach. While we were there we tried 3 or 4. The Star of Siam was without a doubt the very best. We had lunch here the day that we left, we saved the best for last.
I had a tofu stir-fry, my son had noodle soup, and my husband had chicken something or other. They also had spring rolls but there was meat in them so I didn't have any. Everything was very good. This restaurant/bar was the site for RowanGBR's going-away dinner. The food and service was excellent. Secuirity was tight and top-notch. Only draw back, on a busy night, there can be long lines at the restroom.
