by jenn_d The Crab Pot offers a full contact dining experience. Order a FEST and watch as the waiter dumps a bowl full of fresh crab legs, oysters, clams, shrimp, potatoes, sausage and fish skewers in the center of the table. You are given a mallot and a bowl to discard the shells in. Primal Fun!!
Be sure to order a Blue Sapphire Martini Leave a Comment Theme: SeafoodDirections: The Crab Pot is located on the waterfront int the Los Alamitos Marina.Other Contact: 215 Marina Drive(562)430-0272

by jenn_d Schooners is set up alongside the marina. This is a place where people actually go because they enjoy the hour long wait to be seated. Locals will order a cheap bottle of champagne and a large glass of oj to drink while they sit in the sun socializing. THe only people who complain about the wait are either tourists or just plain sober.
The speciality here is big American breakfasts! Try Schultzes Mess, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, peppers, onions and sausage all cooked together in one pan and topped with cheese and sour cream! Yikes. I've never eaten it myself but it looks damn good! Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: 241 Marina Dr. Located off of Pacific Coast Hwy and Second St.Other Contact: (562)430-3495

Our waiter was excellent and so was the outdoor atmosphere. They even have propane heat lanterns placed outside because it gets a little cool even in the summer when the sun starts to set.
I've only been there once and I don't like seafood much, but I asked our waiter (Kelly) what he would recommend for someone like me and he suggested the fresh, grilled halibut. I ordered that and didn't regret it. The halibut was wonderful. I also ordered desert - the apple tart - oh my was it good and HUGE! by american_tourister Chuck's is a 'locals only' coffee shop in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach. It is a great place to walk to and have breakfast on the weekend.
The WEASEL! This is a cheese omlet covered with chili con carne. It is a wonderful hangover remedy. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: On Ocean Blvd. just behind the Olympic Pool.

by american_tourister This place has the best Pastrami in all Southern California. It has been visited by stars who have sent autographed photos which are behind the counter on the wall. It is located in one of the oldest and most historic downtown buildings in Long Beach. All the food is terrific including the pasta dishes and the salads. They have some sinful desserts and a big variety of quality sodas and beers.

Delis - 5 ***** French Gourmet Dinning. One seating a night. With all the trimmings very nice. It also happens to be the cheapest Gourmet restaurant in the southland starting at $39.50. But keep in mind this is definitely not a place you goto on a regular basis. I usually make it out once a year. Excellent dinning. I was raised by a Gourmet (My Father) who has 17 years experience in the business and he gave it a definite two thumbs up. King's on Pine St: 4 **** Another fantastic restaurant. $12.00 - $20.00 This restaurant features two sides. One side is a open outside bar atmosphere that gives you the impression your in New Orleans. Sit and watch passer-bys on Pine while enjoying a great selection of sea food. On chilly nights the patio is somewhat heated. The more elegant side of the restaurant features the same menu but better more personal and quit atmosphere very nice inside. The menu has some very good Italian food as well. Excellent menu selection. It’s directly across from Mum’s another trendy eatery. La Opera / The Madison: 4 **** Much like Mum’s on Pine these two restaurants owned by the same people have two unique styles but offer the same excellent service (Watch out though your pocket book can take a huge hit at this place as the waiters can milk you for everything you have, Their that good!) Guaranteed to have a great time. La Opera features a mostly Italian menu while the Madison is a steak house, a very nice looking steak house I might add. The inside is amazing! Must check it out even if you don’t intend on eating there just peek inside. Delis is a one seating a night restaurant. Starts at 7pm until ???. Has a waiting area with an excellent wine and ale bar some of the best wines in town. The best time to go is when a winery is featuring their catalog selection of wines with a specially prepared meal to go with each course and wine. Right down to the desert. A must if you like wine. King's: is the outdoor on Pine Street. Best experienced on a Saturday night I think. La Opera / The Madison: Both are fine dinning any night the service there is outstanding! They make you feel like a King!
Each restaurant features uniqe and tradition foods. My fav has to be Delis.
