Arts / Antiques, Long Beach
Every 3rd Sunday of the month vendors come from all over the state to sell everything from vintage furniture and posters to Civil War weapons. You never know what you are going to find here.
What to buy: I have found several pieces of inexpensive and unique retro jewelry. I once stumbled on an autographed copy of a Jane Goodall book(my ultimate heroine).
What to pay: Many items do not have prices on them...make an offer. Most dealers expect to negotiate
Every Second Saturday of every month, the passionate people of LONG BEACH put their talents on display from 6-10pm on the corner of Linden and First Streets (Utopia Restaurant has FINE dining!)
There are also various MALLS around LB: Downtown (the newest!), LB Towne Center near the 605 Freeway/Carson Street), and Cerritos Mall (if you're looking for Nordstroms!)
If you want to buy FRESH FRUITS & VEGGIES, go to a local Farmers Market (Downtown Promenade on Fridays, Thursdays in Signal Hill, LB Marina on Sundays).
If you are looking for anything else, call me at 562-804-5625 and I will hook you up! (I just ask that you recommend THE PRIME SPOT!)
What to buy: Anything from handmade art to historical artifacts and of course local trends!
What to pay: $2,00 for a greeting card up to thousnads of dollars. What is your budget?
I loved looking in the showcases on the Queen Mary. The shop didn't seem to be open that sold these but I had fun looking.
I especially liked the happy Buddha pieces.
