I still can't believe a one way ticket on the Aqualink only costs $1! What a deal for tourists! the same route by traditional taxi would easily cost $12. The Aqualink has one circular route which runs from Alamitos Bay(where all 3 restaraunts I reviewed are) to Rainbow Harbor and then the Catalina Island Terminal. Passengers can board or exit ant any of the three stops.
Who doesn't love a boat ride? The Aquabus and the Aqualink are two popular ways to experience the most lovely part of the city - the ocean!! The cost is minimal to go abroad for both- $1 for the bus and $6 for the speedy Aqualink. Hop from one great LB oceanic location to another- The Queen Mary, Catalina Landing, The Aquarium oif the Pacific and Shoreline Village.
We took this boat to go to the shoreline as we had already paid the 8 dollars for parking at the Queen Mary parking (incredible expensive prices!) ..
Anyway the price to cross to the other side was 1 dollar per person. And it deserved! They pass every hour.
The AquaBus is a great way to get around in Long Beach. It is 40-foot-long water taxi that can transport passengers from the Aquarium to the Queen Mary, Catalina Express Port (for passage to Santa Catalina Island), and Shoreline Village. The fee is $2 per passenger. For more information about AquaBus call 1-800-995-4386.
It is run by Long Beach Transit and ferrys people all around Queensway Bay, Shoreline Village and the Queen Mary
