Fun to do window shopping at the many branded stores of the rich and famous on Rodeo Drive. Hang on to your credit card if you find yourself caught in a shoping frenzy.
Alternatively, you can sit a roadside cafe and see if you can spot anyone famous.
Visit Bevery Hill. Due our low budget we have passed by the huge houses of very rich people by bus. I am sure that was not the best way to get to know Bevery Hill, if you have a chance (I mean money) the best way to get around there would be by car (a cabriolet of course) and a map of the stars home. You can buy this map in everywhere, but (again) it is quite expensive for such a stupid map (USD$8.00).
Privet Drive is not that thing we had expected, but it still beatifull and very rich street, with very expensive shops of famous brands.
Favorite thing: In hollywood we saw a lot of policecars and policemen on bikes and even a helicopter chasing some bad guys. On this parking space they caught them. It was just like watching a movie. Diana said 'Quick, take a pic! So I did, COOL HUH!
visit hollywood, hollywood boulevard and the quite new mall hollywood/highland
Fondest memory: I was buying a salad in the complex hollywood/highland,and the waitress(with delicious poney-tails)took all her time to ask me whether I wanted sauce,no sauce, cheese,no cheese;after a while, she suddenly asked me:-hey sir,are you from california?
why did she ask this?because of my french accent,or I seemed too serious?
pay BEVERLY HILLS a visit.
This place really needs no introduction and explanation... Even a little kid knows about this place. Why? He must have been a fan of 'Beverly Hills 90210'. :-)))
This photo was taken from a moving vehicle.... Not too bad eh? (Er, I mean... my photographic skills, that is).
Visit the Farmers Market (6333 West Third Street, Los Angeles 90036-3154)
Fondest memory: Eating a fresh fruit salad bowl...
Drive around and take in the scenery...beautiful beaches, beautiful mountains....
Fondest memory: Seeing the stars get out of their limos at the Golden Globe Awards.
Fondest memory: In Hollywood you can actually see movie characters out on the streets waving at you and they're ready to pose a picture with you. This is a great opportunity for you and your kids. A fun experience!
Favorite thing: I remember going to Farmers Market (more than 50 years ago.) It doesn't look the same any more. It has grown a lot.
