Fondest memory: The Hollywood Sign can be seen from the top of the Hollywood & Highland Center, which is where the Kodak Theatre is located. It doesn't provide the best photograph spot for the famous Hollywood sign (it's kind of small), but at least you can see it. A better place to see the Hollywood sign is to go to Griffiths Park located several blocks northeast of Hollywood.
Fondest memory:
No trip to Los Angeles is quite complete if you don't drop by HOLLYWOOD... if only to appease your curiosity. :-)
If there is one landmark that screams 'Hollywood' to the world - literally! - it is the world famous Hollywood Sign... perched high atop Mount Lee, the tallest peak in L.A. The best way to see the Hollywood Sign is to drive up Beachwood Drive (just north of busy Hollywood Boulevard). The Sign is clearly visible most of the way up Beachwood.....
Please check out my travel page on 'HOLLYWOOD' for more info. Thanks!
Favorite thing: Please visit the HOLLYWOOD sign up on the hill. It was truly a memorable experience for me. Also, a tour of the UCLA campus. The Walk of Fame is a must as well, if for no other reason than to view a multitude of celebrity names carved into stone.
Favorite thing: Coming NW from downtown LA to the movie-capital of the world, you'll see the HOLLYWOOD-sign in the hills. You need a magnifying glass to see the sign.
