UCLA, Los Angeles
Favorite thing: The UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles) campus is located in the western part of Los Angeles, close to Beverly Hills and Hollywood and north of the Westwood shopping district and just south of Sunset Blvd. UCLA is huge. In fact, it is the largest university in California and the second oldest of all the University of California campuses. It is definitely worth a visit if you are thinking about applying here as a student.
Favorite thing: Deborah Butterfield is an important contemporary sculptor best known for her bronze horses, which look as if they been fashioned from pieces of driftwood. They are in prominent galleries and collections around the world. This one is called "Pensive."
Favorite thing: UCLA is located in attractive Brentwood - the fashionable West Side. It's a nice college campus, but I hear that off-campus housing anywhere nearby is extremely expensive. Imagine that!
