Although it's getting more crowded, Long Beach Airport is the preferred airport, served by JetBlue from NY, DC, and Oakland; by American from Dallas & Chicago hubs; and by America West from its Phoenix hub.

For more information about the traveling culture of the first decades of the 20th century you should visit the Queen Mary. The old ocean liner has its permanent home at the harbor of Long Beach. You can walk on the big ship and take a look at the interior. Beside the Queen Mary is the 'Spruce Goose', a big, old air plane - another attraction to visit.
