In the summer, a nice pair of leather flip-flops with your jeans will blend you in nicely. Make sure your jeans are long enough to drag the ground a little at your heal. Don't wear "Wrangler" jeans, they may still be illegal. Cargo shorts will also work with your t-shirt, which shouldn't mention anything associated with Los Angeles except for Universities. If you want to wear something to tell people what your favorite movie or TV show is, get a fleece or windbreaker. They look like crew jackets and people will think you work on the show. Suits are pretty uncommon for business meetings, but you can always ask someone's assistant what people wear to their office. I've been in a studio meeting where the most important guy was wearing pajama bottoms and no shirt. (No, it wasn't in Chatsworth.) If you're headed to an evening function, like a business dinner or opening, and will wear a suit, wear a colored shirt that matches your tie. If you wear a white shirt, people will assume you're the venue manager.
