Los Angeles does not get as hot as many people assume. In the summer, the temperature is usually in the eighties (80F), with ocean breezes near the water. At night, the city cools off considerably. Every now and then the temps soar into the upper nineties, but it's rare that it would get any hotter than that. In the winter months, the temperatures are often in the fifties sixties (50-60F). You'll want to be wearing pants and sweaters. In general, it's a good idea to pack in layers when coming to L.A. Bring T-shirts for the daytime and light jackets for the evening. The good news? It rarely rains, so you probably won't need to pack an umbrulla. Make sure to bring along your sunglasses and sunscreen, though! L.A. is not quite as fashion conscious as New York, but we still shudder at the sight of fanny packs and big, white tennis shoes. Don't look like a tourist! There' s not a problem with pickpockets or muggers here... you can carry a shoulder bag without fear. Your wardrobe should be casual, but chic. Leave a Comment
