Buca di Beppo, Los Angeles

Buca's is a fantastic place to go to if you're planning a group outing with 10 or more people. You get served the food family style portions resulting in an affordable meal for the night.

Food: I honestly can't remember because last time I was there, it was for my birthday and I ended drinking more than eating. LOL. No complaints...typcial American Italian food.

Ambience: The atmosphere is really what makes this restaurant special. I love the decor. Painted in bright red, with photos and signs all over the walls, gives the restaurant a homey, even cluttered feel. It's even interesting going into their bathrooms. =)

Favorite Dish: Don't remember but good family sized portions. They also have dinners if the party is smaller (2-3 people)....waiters are great too.

Even as commercial as Universal City Walk can be, Buca is a breath of fresh air. A bit of a wait on most nights (not just weekends) but it is well worth it.

If you call and are lucky, try for the "Kitchen" seating. There is a booth in the Kitchen where the staff give you hints on what is going on and explain all the dishes. Plus you get to see them putting it all together....

Actually, this restaurant is pretty budget. Because food portion is so big, people usually come here with a big group, for birthday / celebration / party. Definately not a romantic restaurant.

Favorite Dish: This meatball spegetti was nice too, but still prefer the seafood pasta.

This is the place for our VT Meeting. Food here come with very big portion, it's considered big even in American standard. We ordered 3 dishes and they able to feed the stomach of 7 adults and 1 kid.

Favorite Dish: This is chicken with meshed potato. Well... honestly, it taste like American dish more than Italian dish.

Family style dining. The Pope Room is great because you are at a large circular table with a bust of the Pope in the middle. For a large group it is relatively inexpensive.

Favorite Dish: Chicken Parmagiana
