Krispy Creme Doughnuts, Los Angeles

Doughnuts are probably the worst things you can eat. They are full or lots of things that aren't good for you and very fattening. But Krispy Kreme doughnuts are so yummy that occasionaly you just have to have one.

Favorite Dish: Raspberry filled and glazed.

Krispy Kremes are thought to be the best doughnuts in the world. Their original glazed donuts are amazing - eaten while warm, the doughnuts are incredibly soft, fresh, and loaded with taste. Unfortunately, they are not healthy and are kind of expensive for doughnuts. However, whenever I have a craving for doughnuts - Krispy Kremes are it for me!

Favorite Dish: Original glazed doughnuts are the way to go.

What can I say about these doughy pieces of heaven? They are worth the billion amount of sugar, fat, and calories they consist of-- and this is coming from a non-doughnut lover. When the "Hot and Fresh" sign is blinking, you are sure to find a long wait in the Drive-thru lane--- You are probably asking yourself right now: "Did I read that correctly-- a Drive-Thru doughnut shop?" Yup... you sure did. Talk about being lazy! LOL.

Favorite Dish: um.. that will have to be doughnuts!! Various types come to mind-- but the infamous ones are the Original Glazed. Creme-filled chocolate doughnuts are up there as well :-)

We don't have Dunkin Donuts, but the next best thing is Krispy Kreme donuts. Their donuts are friggin amazing. If you go inside you can watch how the donuts are made... man I was like a little kid in a candy store transfixed at the sight of little hoops of dough being turned into donuts... the food of the Gods... according to Homer Simpson.

Favorite Dish: The glazed donuts, the cream-filled donuts...

Watch out.. these are addictive. I have never in my life tasted a donut quite like this. They are pretty light too so you may want to order more than just one. Can be eaten for breakfast as well as just a treat. My office goes crazy when we get these in. I would recommend the traditional glaze... although the cream center ones are a bit tempting as well. My only advice is to make sure they're fresh out of the oven... that's when they're the best. You'll find boxes of these sold by vendors, but to get the full effect... you need to find the actually bakery.

Whenever you see that the Red Neon sign is on, you know that means fresh, tasty and delicious doughnuts were just made...that's the best time to devour these treats. You might even be lucky enough to step into the store at that time and they will give you a free 'just baked' doughnut which will melt in your mouth!!! But if the sign isn't on, they are still wonderful.

Favorite Dish: Try the Pumpkin Spice Doughnut (seasonal), the Chocolate Iced Sprinkles Doughnut, the Glazed Devil's Food Doughnut or the Chocolate Iced Cruller...wash it down with a nice cold pint of milk or orange juice.

Never pass up the opportunity to splurge at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts -- especially if you can get them hot off the assembly line!!!
