    Outlets / Markets: SANTEE street

Santee Street (look at the map) is located at the garment district of Los Angeles. It is where you can buy imitation bags and shoes - even tshirts as well as pirated movies... I suggest that you wear walking shoes and leave the jewelries behind. The parking is about $4 per hour.

Santee is a small street but there are other streets located in the GARMENT district - from laces to wedding gowns - sells wholesale as well as retail. This is where most of the clothing retailers get their items - at the garment district.

    What to buy: GARMENTS

Santee Alley just south of downtown Los Angeles is a bargain hunters dream. There are blocks of vendors with cheap, cheap, cheap prices for some very good stuff. Knock off purses, baseball jerseys etc are all over the place. This place is a balst and if you shop around enough you will locate better bargains. A must go to

    the ALLEY

This is a hush hush shopping area in downtown LA.
wholesale products are available to the consumer from 10-5, 7 days a week.
these are the items you would pay double+ for on melrose and in shops all over Los angeles and the country in general.
Akin to canal st. in New York but, in a more condensed area and a much better variety of product!
    YESSI is my favorite

    What to buy: sunglasses-$5
    Handbags-$20
    shoes$20-125.
    jeans$35
    bootleg dvds $5
jewelry, men's , toys, much more!
you can even buy great inexpensive($20)
luggage w/ wheels to carry your new things home!
    Corner of maple & 9th!

What to pay: $5-$28 most items!!!

    Downtown LA: Santee Alley

    Entrance to Santee Alley

Santee Alley is the home of the knock-off Prada bag, Gucci sunglasses, YSL wallet. I got 2 "Prada" bags for $20.

It also has a cool selection of non-knockoff t-shirts and other clothes. Largely for more petite people.

Note that the alley is NOT for the faint-of-heart or claustrophobic. Imagine a cross between Tijuana & Calcutta, but with designer labels. You will literally not be able to move sometimes for the crush of bodies.

What to buy: Great selection of purses, sunglasses, shoes & watches. If you like a designer name on your stuff, you're all set.

    What to pay: $5-$40, depending.
    Most sunglasses $5.
    Most purses $10-30.
    Haggling is encouraged.
