I love art and architecture so when I stumbled upon this theatre on Hollywood Boulevard I had to stop and take notice. I did not attend a showing there but was in awe of the old architecture and art adorning the entrance way. Many may see it as garish though I thought the gold sculpture and brilliantly decorated marquee made for a fascinating look a this theatre. I happened to go by it one evening while there and found a line of people around the block to attend a show. So, though old it is pretty popular.

Located on Hollywood Blvd., the historic El Capitan Theatre is a fully restored movie palace. It was first opened in 1926 and was the site of several movie premiers. In recent years, many of Disney's feature films have premiered here, accompanied by live stage shows.
