Okay, most of the LA natives are aware that the trendy Melrose Ave is not what it was 10 years ago.... However, there are still a handful of amazing stores hidden away on this street. These stores are worth the trip.

XTC on Melrose is a MUST. If you like fashion. If you like platforms. If you like stilettos that are comfortable ( YES, I swear this is possible). They have such a great variety of trendy, unique styles. They have always stayed true to selling platforms and stilettos. The price point ranges from mid to high. This is what they do.....

Notorious. The best selection of Juicy Couture everything. They have great brands such as Grey Ant, Hudson and Hanky Pankys. Also, good prices.

Wasteland. Do I even have to explain????

American Vintage. Great prices and awesome vintage clothing. They always have great styles that are pretty cheap.

Melrose Ave. has alot of trendy, unique stores. I also saw a few movies stars also. They sell alot of vintage clothing here especially vintage T-shirts. Definitely not as expensive as Rodeo Drive. This reminds me of Greenwich Village in New York City or Wicker Park/Bucktown in Chicago. It is very artisy with alot of young people around. Everyone should come here at least once even though it might be an older person's style. It is still fun and a great place to people watch.

You will see a lot of different of subcultures walking on the street. Mostly the punkculture. It's a lot of underground musicshops here. If you are into punk music check out a store called Headline records. I could walk on this street a whole day and not be bored so much differents alternative shops ... But it depend what sort of person you are and what interest you have.

Here you can go out shopping extreme clothes. For example clubbing clothes 'gaypridestyle' and raveclothes. They have mostly punk clothes here ... it is original a punkstyle clothes street. Unfortunatly most of the clothes are very expensive though. But you can find cheap clothes as well so don't worrie. They have alot of cool indian stores here as well.

On this street they also have a lot of cafes from coffee, smoothies and icecream. And they even have a restaurant here called Louise *hehe* (my name)

If you are intrested in piercings you have to go to the piercing jewlery shop. Here you can buy extreme piercing jewelerys. They have them all here!!

If you want shopping modern Los Angels style closes or accessories, Melrose Avenue is the best for me. It's long street. Punk, sweet, used, country, extreme fashion in there.
