Places to Avoid, Mammoth Lakes

'Speed of Light' Photo developing at the bottom of Old Mammoth Road - they ruined half the pictures of the 6 films I put in there. When I complained they first said 'Sorry, but what do you want us to do about it', then told me that they 'just wished that I had never come in to the shop' when I told them that I wanted some form of refund. They eventually conceeded that they should give me some money back - but it was only a 1/4 of what I paid. They blamed the faults (mostly scratches on the negatives) on a 'strange humidity' that day - If you look closely at the picture here - you will notice a 'strange kind of THUMBPRINT humidity' - I am sure that they have many happy customers - But I am not one of them!

I won't put any place down, but make sure you get a recommendation on where to eat. There are many restaurants that are expensive that aren't very good.
