While in Manhattan Beach why not visit the VT Staff? Of course, call first, to make sure they are available, once in a while the whole crew leaves the office to put on a huge reception for all VT Members who happen to be in the area. The office is near, the VT Staff are the nicest people and they love to meet VT Members.
