    Fleming's: Fleming's

A great steakhouse and wine bar that is styled almost like Morton's of Chicago, except the server doesn't go through the whole presentation process. The main dish and all the side dishes are served a la carte. The food is terrific! Also, they have a very extensive wine list since the restaurant is also known as a wine bar. Wines like Cakebread and Duckhorn are available for your drinking pleasure! :)

Favorite Dish: Tuna steak crusted w/ sesame seeds is very good. The shrimp dish is excellent as well. There are a variety of side dishes like mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, asparagus, broccoli, etc....

Fleming's: Hands Down: Best Steakhouse in the Southbay

Fleming's is an upscale steakhouse that serves prime quality steak.
As expected from an upscale steakhouse the whole experience is a delight: service is wonderful, the wine list is very good, and most importantly the quality of the steak is sublime.
The price is of course steep, so this is more of a restaurant for 'special event' for me.
If you are here on a work function they also have semi-private and private rooms.

Favorite Dish: I recommend you start with the lump crab cakes, then go for the New York strip "rare-plus". This is really the most amazing fact about Fleming's; the steak is so juicy and tender, but it is warm all the way through since they apparently use '1,600 degree broiler'. My favourite side is the shoe string fries.
For desert go for the lava cake....warm and crunchy on the outside and rich and melted in the inside.

Fleming's: Meat, meat, and more meat

If you like meat, this is the place to go. Although it's a little pricey and the room can get a little loud when it fills up, the food and service is great. Great selection of wines including a bottle that costs over $1,000!

One warning: the main meal does not come with any side dishes so you have to order those separately.

    Favorite Dish: Filet mignon

Fleming's: One of the Best Steakhouses

by Wilson Written Apr 21, 2003 149 reviews

Classic steakhouse and wine bar. Entrees are severed a la carte and you order your various side dishes (vegetables, potatoes, etc.) separate. They have an extensive wine list with over 100 wines by the glass. You can also order wine by the taste (quarter of a glass) to sample many different kinds.

While this is a chain steakhouse, it is much better than Morton's.

Favorite Dish: 12 oz. filet or the Porterhouse for two. Both cuts of meat are outstanding. Also, the Fleming's Potatoes (house speciality with cream, jalapenos and cheddar cheese) are a must!
