12 Reviews This is an attractive long pier that starts at the foot of Manhattan Beach Blvd in the heart of downtown. The struxcture itself is attractive and interesting, it has nice views of town, the beach, and the sunset, and it has a little cafe at the end. It is also a popular place for fishing.
14 Reviews If you want to go to the best, overall beach in Los Angeles county, forget about overhyped Santa Monica and come down to Manhattan, "the Pearl of the South Bay". Though packed at peak times in the height of summer weekends, you will find fewer people and more of a local feel. Most locals won't mind...
4 Reviews The Strand, technically a street, is a wonderful pedestrian/bicycle path that goes right along the beach through town. It is divided into two parts: an upper for pedestrians and a lower one closer to the beach for bicyclists. It is very pelasant and scenic, as well as conventient, allowing one to...
4 Reviews A round building at the end of the pier, "Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium " holds an aquarium which includes an exhibit of the native flora and fauna of the area. This is not only an aquarium, but also a research lab dedicated to the study and care of our ocean. Questions about the...
9 Reviews A volleyball tournamenet that takes place every summer during the FIRST WEEKEND of AUGUST, just south of the pier. It is a great event that takes place over the whole weekend! Not only do some of the great weekend players come out, but everyone dresses up! For instance, there was the Mexican water...
1 Review Just up from the Pier is Manhattan Beach Blvd, one of the main drags in town. The closest establishments to the beach were, yes, the bars. And, even in the afternoon, they were hoppin'! If you need a break from the beach, take a walk on Manhattan Beach Blvd, and some of the surrounding streets too....
9 Reviews Arriving early, I had the chance to see the clientele arriving and leaving Beaches throughout the afternoon. It seemed to be a relaxed eatery where the bar was most popular. I even saw VT'er Gerry enter and leave, but didn't realize that more VT Staff members were up stairs working all day to make...
11 Reviews I love Pancho's! I've been going here since I was young. The ambience, location, and the food make it a great "beach city" Mexican Restaurant. The bar upstairs is great for drinks and appetizers. They have a huge TV to catch sporting events. I truly reccomend going downstairs in the dining area...
10 Reviews Rock N' Fish is a classic locals restaurant in Manhattan Beach and is definitely our go-to restaurant when we want solid, high quality food. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been disappointed with a meal here (and I eat here at least once per week). In addition to a wide variety of fish options,...
8 Reviews Upscale American comfort food at it's best. Quality food, decent wine list, and an upbeat atmosphere make Houston's a favorite for every crowd. Houston's specializes in great sandwiches, including: *Cheeseburger *Fresh Fish sandwich *Famous French Dip (One of the best items on the menu!..Prime...
Manhattan Beach Brewing Company
7 Reviews This is a pretty good brewpub. It's a nice place, comfortable if a little small. It has some pretty good food and a nice range. The beer is overall not bad, the few I've had ranging from mediocre to pretty good. The location is nice, about one block up from the pier and the beach near the...
2 Reviews Between the Strand and the intersection of Manhattan Ave and Manhattan Beach Blvd, there is a designated taxi zone to conveniently take you around the beach area or beyond. At a given time, there are about 3 or 4 in wait along the sidewalk, so there is no wait. Main Official Manhattan Beach...
4 Reviews Getting to Manhattan Beach by car is the most convenient mode of travel in my opinion. Your own car, a rented car or even a hired Limo. Los Angeles International Airport is just a few miles up the road from Manhattan Beach and at the airport there are lots of car rental companies that will service...
4 Reviews Though Manhattan Beach seems to be an oasis in the jungle-sprawl of Los Angeles, one of L.A.'s hardships have spilled over into to the Manhattan Beach area. Traffic. Cars, cars everywhere but not a parking space to be had, and when a parking space is found near your destination, you must pay and the...
2 Reviews While in Manhattan Beach why not visit the VT Staff? Of course, call first, to make sure they are available, once in a while the whole crew leaves the office to put on a huge reception for all VT Members who happen to be in the area. The office is near, the VT Staff are the nicest people and they...
10 Reviews When we got the details for our L.A. business meeting I was like "Manhattan Beach? I've heard that name before". I checked VT and realised that I was coming to VT land. The "headquarters" are only a few miles from here and the beach was the venue for the first big VT worldwide meeting. Of course I...
7 Reviews Well a litte different on Saturday don't you think .During this weekend late July early August the 6 Men Volleyball Tourney is held here in Manhattan Beach . It is a great event and well worth watching I was told that around two thousand young people play a Volleyball Competition . To me it looked...

Manhattan Beach holiday open house is on Wednesday, 11/14. The streets are closed off downtown MB and the local vendors welcome people in with complementary food and beverages while they shop. It's an annual even not to miss.
