    Bara Bing's: Fantastic Italian Restuarant

by allofat Written Jul 2, 2004

The food was some of the best Italian I've had. I had spagetti with a spicy sauce with Italian sausage, but they do have milder. It is a family run place, with the mom & pop and their kids working there. The owner was very friendly as was the atmosphere. Inside and outside dining. Prices were moderate. Next door to Best Wertern.

    The Bear Pit-Missiouri Style...

by BorderHopper Written Oct 4, 2002

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Bear Pit-Missiouri Style Barbeque, when I think of American food it doesn't get any more American than this. This is where you can dine on some down home cooking...Missiouri barbeque style. It's a family run operation and it has been open for years. It's a very popular place with locals and out of towners alike. It is located right on the Sepulveda off ramp of 3 major Intersate freeways (the 5, 405, & 118). So, if you are driving down the highway stop in for dinner at the Bear Pit.
Very casual atmosphere (blue collar), sawdust floors, robust mid-western style waitresses, beer on tap, family dining, and exellent food.

Favorite Dish: The menu consists of just about anything that can be barbequed but my all time favorite is the barbeque beef sandwich on Garlic toast...one of the best I've ever had.
