Pebble Beach & Del Monte Forest
Favorite thing: The community of Pebble Beach is actually an unincorporated area run by a corporation rather than by an elected government but it falls under a census designated place called Del Monte Forest. Del Monte Forest has an average house value of about $800,000, while the residents are 90% white, with average incomes of about $100,000 per year. You will see small metal shields attached to residents' cars to allow them entry to 17 Mile Drive without paying the $9 fee. The Pebble Beach community contains seven golf courses. Spyglass, Pebble Beach, and Spanish Bay are owned by the Pebble Beach Company. Cypress Point, as well as the Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Dunes Course and Shore Course are private, while Poppy Hills is the only public course in Pebble Beach.
Pebble Beach is a private, gated community along the Pacific Ocean known for its golf , expensive houses, and 17 Mile Drive along the beautiful shoreline. Pebble Beach traces its history back to 1919 when Samuel FB Morse established the Pebble Beach Golf Links years after the Del Monte Hotel opened in 1880 (now the Naval Postgraduate School). In the 1970s 20th Century Fox took ownership of Pebble Beach before selling to a Japanese businessman in 1990. In 1999 Clint Eastwood, Arnold Palmer, and Peter Ueberroth led a group of investors who purchased Pebble Beach, intending to further develop the area.
Famous people who are said to maintain houses in Pebble Beach include Paris Hilton, George Lopez, and Tiger Woods.

Favorite thing: go on the world-famous 17-Mile Drive..... dotted with plenty of cypress and pine trees. Don't forget to photograph the many magnificent houses located within this area too. An architectural feast! Or perhaps, you may even wish to drop by the Pebble Beach Golf Course?
Anyhow, a map detailing all the major highlights of the drive will be given @ US$7.50 per car (gate fee).
