Here is the charming part of greater Newport Beach, at Balboa Island. It is relatively quiet. Couples new and old, as well as families, can take a nice stroll without so much traffic.

Right by the beach, there is a family fun zone area with rides , shops, pizza and ice cream. For all of you familiar with New York, this is like Coney Island !! More pics to come ! Last time here , I even saw an Oxygen cart, right by the ice cream parlor! "Yeah, I'd like a shot of oxy with that shake!"

Go onto the Balboa Peninsula and continue to the Balboa Pier and enjoy the sand and waves, then go across the street to the Fun Zone (by the Balboa ferry). They've got bumper cars, a merry go round, small ferris wheel, an arcade, and the usual T-shirt shops. Try BJ's near the Pier for great deep-dish pizza. Take a ride on the Balboa ferry across the channel to Balboa Island. You'll love it!
