    Date Palms on Farm

This is a small buiding in Thermal that is on a date farm. The back part of the building is used for packaging and shipping dates. The front of the building is the retail shop that sells about a dozen varietes of dates, loose by the pound or packaged in 1/2 to 15 pound containers. They have a film that explains where dates come from ,when they came to California and how they are grown. This small area around Thermal is the only place in the country where dates are grown. You can see the Date Palm trees outside of the building. At 59-111 Highway 111, Thermal CA. About 16 miles from Palm Desert.

But this is NO regular jeep adventure! This is a super-adventure, adding an element of competition and challenge to make this a great teambuilding event without a lot of physical activity! From the moment guests board their jeeps, they will be challenged with questions about the desert and their company.
Games involve teams competing by taking the most creative pictures and answering questions. An excellent adventure and great company, with wonderful staff and very brite. This Jeep company gave us our moneys worth. Red-Jeep is awesome!

    I love business trips!

wind through an intricate maze of steep walled canyons and ravines, testifying vividly to the power of the SAN ANDREAS FAULT and the geological evolution of millions of years. Bring lots and lots of water, sunscreen by the barrell and a BIG straw hat or umbrella. Tip for everyone: go on an adventure as early as possible, try and avoid the heat and sun between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the summer.

Hadley's Market. Right outside of town off the I-10, Hadley's makes some of the best date shakes anywhere. An unusual shake made from the dates that come from Date Palm trees, one taste of this frosty dairy concoction and you will become addicted.

Palm Springs Tram Ride. Take the gondola up to the top of the mountains that border Palm Springs for some unbelievable views. Plus, in the winter, they actually have skiing up there!! (For the movie buffs, this tram has been shown in numerous films including several Bond films.)

You can rent a jeep for the day - make sure your spouse is the nervous type - then get stuck in the sand. Har-har-har-de-har-har!!
