Favorite thing: Not far from the departure of the Aerial tramway, the road is lined with small bushes covered with yellow flowers. They would have been planted, there would not be more of them ! They are wild flowers, growing naturally.

Favorite thing: when you walk through Palm Springs you are sure to find places which remind you that it can be very dry here if there's no irrigation by humans...
The good thing about it you can take nice pictures as if you were in a place far away from other people...Looks nice in your photo album...

Favorite thing: Built in 1963 by Albert Frey, this beautiful wedge-shaped structure welcomes people entering Palm Springs on HWY 111. This once endangered building is now the city's tourist information.
Fondest memory: The automatic serverd paper towel in the bathroom was amazing!

Favorite thing: You must take a day to go to Joshua Tree National Park. It's about a 45 minute drive from the city. We got there in the afternoon and took an early evening walk in the 'high desert'. The sunset was beautiful. We sat on a BIG rock and watched the last rays disappear in the west. As it got dark, we walked back to the car and I thought about snakes. It had cooled off considerably and I thought it would be the time snakes would come out to cool off too. We didn't see any snakes but as darkness fell, the stars overshadowed even the beauty of the sunset. There were millions and millions. It seemd like there were more stars than darkness.
Fondest memory: The sunset and starry night at Joshua Tree was my fondest memory of our Palm Springs trip.

Favorite thing: Visit some of the funkier shops on Palm Canyon. I found the perfect tiara to go with my 'Princess' bowling bag.
Fondest memory: People watching. The people of Palm Springs seem to be as inordinately obsessed with their appearance as any group I've ever encountered. From the obvious plastic surgery to the ultra-chic clothing, I found the denizens of this desert city to be a visual treat (though, admittedly, I felt rather frumpy in their company).

Favorite thing: Spend some time in luxurious accomidations. Palm Springs panders to the rich and this is the place to splurge.
Fondest memory: Spending the weekend alone with my wife in a huge house with a custom pool. It belongs to her boss and he let us use it for the weekend.

Favorite thing: I mentioned hiking up above and wanted to share some of those pictures. This was taken at the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. They have about 7 different hikes available and this was the beginning of a very short hike up Andreas Canyon.

Favorite thing: Found the house of our dreams and thought I would share this with everyone. I am thinking....great view, little maintenance!

Favorite thing: However, we finally left. The roads were narrow and in many cases we had to honk the horn to make others aware that we were on the road.

Favorite thing: The water running down the canyon was absolutely fabulous! Won't bore you but at least deserves two postings.
