The bar area at the Viceroy had a good crowd during earlier in the evening as well as during the after hours. As for after hours I mean around 12am. This bar is connected to the citron restaurant that gets quite a crowd during dinner time. Even if you are not eating at the restaurant, it's still a great place to grab a cocktail before heading out to dinner. It's a very lively atmosphere including people waiting for a table at citron or just having a drink before heading out.
The same goes for the after hours, the crowd consists for guests who are back from dinner and aren't ready to call it a night yet, and people who are looking for a fun bar to hang out at.
The bartenders are very friendly and make great drinks.

If you are in the mood for some live music, stop over at the Village Pub for some cocktails, food and entertainment. This place may not look very big from the outside but it's huge. There is a pretty large outdoor patio with heat lams and private tables with fire pits in the middle. We were there during the winter, so the fire made it nice and warm and cozy. Not sure what it would be like in the dead of summer. The band is on stage inside, but you can see it from the outside patio through the glass walls. There's also a dance floor where people were actually busting a move. We had a great time hanging out at one of the fire pit areas, listening to the band and people watching.
Their drinks are very reasonable priced. They have an extensive bar food menu too. I would strongly recommend the hot wings, mmm mmm good!

This is a pretty good club, small but they play good music and make even female patrons welcome. We went in the day and it was pretty slow but hopped up when we went back the next night. We had a good time.

Being that there is a big Marine base about 45 minutes East of Palm Springs, this is the only place that they have to party. Being stationed up there myself, I can tell you, Marine's and Alcohol are always a good combination. For the most part Marines behave themselves, but there are always those few that think they are superman because they are a Marine on Jack Daniels. But for the most part everyone behaves themselves, so buy a Marine a drink and thank him for his service and you'll have a nightlong friend!

Zelda's is on indian canyon, short walk from Palm Cyn. Pay the 10 dollar cover if you enjoy the typical dance club. This is a girls dancing on the tables type of venue. Want classier? Try downtown.
Dress Code: Men-no tank tops. They pat the men down here, that should give you an idea about what its like.

Hollywood stars started to escape the stress of "Tinsel Town" for the sun & night time fun of Palm Springs as long ago as the 1930's. Now even the city dwellers & desert rats can mingle with the Hollywood stars in one of Palm Spings many up-market bars. Nightlife can be found in a trendy bar along Palm Canyon Drive or a dive bar down a dusty alley way. It' s your choice but I shouldn't have to list it here....there are plenty of nightlife spots to suit anyone's taste. Just go out and explore.

The only "real" club in the desert so everyone tries to go here. Music ranges from hip-hop to disco to techno. You will find a variety of people at this club. Everyone from your "typical" desert folk who are a bit more rural in both attire and attitude to cosmopolitan urbanites from Los Angeles with fake breasts and perfectly groomed hair. Cover charge: $15.
Dress Code: Typical "going out" attire. Most people are in short sleeved buttoned up shirts for men and cute little dresses and sexy tops with short skirts or pants on women.
