    Score: Score A Great Time!

by kevinism Written Oct 28, 2013

Now I've never been to Score on any other night except Friday, so I can only speak to that.

Well, first thing first: I hate to pay cover... Some may think that's cheap, but what's the point? You're charging me to go in and then still pay for drinks? Not even the nice bars/clubs in West Hollywood charge. Ugh annoying. And honestly, why does this place charge cover? It's grungy and ugly.

Booze is priced just about right for what you order and the bartenders can pour pretty hard. You WILL get hammered!

The music and dancing is the main reason why I come out. They play mostly pop with a bit of hip hop blended in, which makes for a great night of dancing. The crowd is also a good time and it also has a tendency of getting packed! Whether you like boys or girls, there is plenty for all!

Hunters: The Best Gay Club in PS

by kevinism Written Oct 28, 2013

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The largest and most popular of the gay bars along the East Arenas Road strip in downtown Palm Springs, Hunters is a spacious, clean, upscale-looking gay video bar that's been there since before I was born. A great place to dance, watch music videos, gawk at go-go boys or play pool, this is one of the few places in Palm Springs that you know is going to be fun and not a hit-or-miss like most other places.

Most of the locals of Palm Springs are older and hang out on the patio or in the lounge, while the dance floor is filled with people on vacation from Riverside, San Diego, LA or the OC.

    Palm Springs Street Festival

by Redlats Updated Jul 11, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Every Thursday evening from 6pm to 10pm, the main street in downtown Palm Springs becomes a street fair. Palm Canyon Drive is closed off to traffic and over 100 booths are set up.

This is not only Flea Market stuff! There is some of the typical fare - farmers selling their fruits and vegetables, vendors selling food like freshly popped popcorn, organic trail mix, sausages and the like. But many (perhaps half) of the booths were art - painting, carvings, playing music, sculpting, etc. In fact my favourite was someone carving trolls in the rings of dried tree limbs.

The day we went, there were a lot of people. Thousands I estimate - people milling about five abreast for over a kilometre. And all the normal stores on the road were open as well. We could not get into a restaurant after we were done for all the people. Also parking is painful -- we had to walk three whole blocks (well it seemed an inconvenience the night we went).

If you are in Palm Springs on a Thursday night, make sure you enjoy the downtown street festival.

Palm Canyon Drive: A walk down the main strip

by awayhome Updated Apr 14, 2004

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Take a walk down Palm Canyon drive and be prepared to see cruisers slowly rolling down the main boulevard in their classic American cars, check out the bar scene packed full of the young and beautiful, or spend a nice candle light dinner with your loved one at one of many romantic restaurants that line the street......there is plenty to do after hours.

Marriot's Resort Villa at Palm Desert: Home-cooked food

by Tenzin Written Jul 10, 2003

Eating out is expensive in Palm Springs so we made full use of our time share resorts. Marriot's certainly didn't disappoint in providing the best in lodging facilities. We even had a jacuzzi for 2 in our humongous toilet. Love it!

Buy your own wine. It's cheap and good there.
