This is a wonderful restaurant. We had breakfast and what drew me here was the beautiful patio area located just to the west of the buildings. Lots of tables with umbrellas for shade and I could tell they have misters strung all along the patio for the hot summer months. The entrance you cross a boarded walkway way and you can see the fountain with a pond. I will admit the pond was green, but the sound of the fountain made the experience enjoyable. The restaurant does need a little TLC, but the experience was still worth it. We had perfect weather around 75 degrees. The food was good, plentiful, priced right, and the waiters were friendly.

This is a really nice restaurant. We were seated right away. I will say the tables were a little close. Yet, the food was good and the service was prompt and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to especially those with kids because they have lots to chose from on their menu. It was wasy to find and easy to pull in and out of the parking lot.

Thai House: Thai Food

Thai house

For me Thai food is the best food. Maybe it's because I was born in Thailand. I was surprised to see many Thai restaurants in Palm Springs. You can find Thai food almost everywhere in America.....and now you know that you can even find it here along Palm Canyon Drive.

Sherman's: Best Deli in the Desert

This place is packed for a reason. The menu is EXTENSIVE and the service and the prices are great.

Favorite Dish: Sherman's has salads, and an extensive breakfast and lunch menu; but who can go to a deli and resist the pastrami or corned beef on rye? If you are into desserts, this is the sweet spot for you.

Elmer's Palm Springs: Not to be missed when in Palm Springs!

The locals have been enjoying this landmark for over 30 years and no trip is complete without at least one breakfast, lunch and dinner at this terrific diner with the best comfort food in southern California! They have a prime rib at dinner that rivals any expensive restaurant downtown for around $16 and includes a huge salad and freshly baked dinner rolls. Breakfast fills up on the weekends but is well worth the wait! You will see why just about everyone includes it on their get-a-way to Palm Springs! Really great folks run it and the wait staff are genuine and considerate! An extensive menu with so many choices, you will want to come back again and again to try them all!

Favorite Dish: I think for breakfast, the crepes with strawberries are my favorite (with a side of bacon!!) Lunch would have to be the Asian Chicken Salad (enough to feed a third world country!) and dinner has to be the prime rib! It is like no other that I've had and a real treat! Cooked to perfection. The whole restaurant is an enjoyable experience!

American food with a French Accent, casual, bistro feeling. The food was amazing and the wine list leaves you wanting to go back. Great seafood and specials.

Favorite Dish: Had a Hanger steak that was out of this world! Tender flavorful and a tasty sauce. Wife had rabbit and fries. No words to describe it. You must try this restaurant.

Le Vallauris Restaurant: Finest Restaurant in Palm Springs
Donrogelio profile photo

This will be your cheapest trip to France; but your most expensive lunch or dinner in Palm Springs. This is a historic restaurant near the downtown area. It serves the best dishes and wines in a historic Palm Springs home.

I suggest dining here for a special occasion, such as an anniversary. You will dine where movie stars and heads of state have dined before you. While lunch is less expensive, I suggest dining in the patio in the evening. Be forewarned, this place is expensive; but memorable.

Favorite Dish: The white fish; nothing will disapoint.

Pomme Frite: Loved the Coq au Vin
Donrogelio profile photo

Donrogelio 26 reviews

Pomme Frite is a terrific bistro in downtown Palm Springs with excellent food and no attitude.

Favorite Dish: I loved the Coq au vin. It was half a chicken (a little much) awash in a great sauce filled with mushrooms and pearl onions. Get ready to eat a baguette with the sauce. Don't be afraid to ask for a container.

My wife had the steak special and she loved it and the pomme frites that came with three sauces for dipping (mayo, aioli, and catsup, sacre bleu!!).

For an appetizer, we had escargot.....great garlic parsley butter sauce.

This is a small affordable Chinese restaurant in the Resort and Spa Casino in Palm Springs. Perfect place to satisfy a quick hunger while gambling.

The service is really fast and the food is great, especially for the price.

You can find it almost right when you enter the casino.

Waitresses are very friendly and funny too!

Definitely try this restaurant if you are in the Resort and Spa Casino.

Oasis Buffet: Amazing Buffet at Morongo Casino

Every time I go to the Morongo casino in Cabazon, close to Palm Springs (which is not that very often :-)) I stop at the Oasis Buffet before starting anything else. It has every food you can imagine, Italian, Asian, American, Salads, Desserts, it's unbelievable and it's delicious. The atmosphere is great! It is one of my favorite buffets, even comparing to the ones in Vegas. (maybe not the Rio's buffet but definitely all the other ones)

At lunch time it's less than $15 and you can get discounts if you have a player card from the casino.

When you enter the casino from the parking elevators, keep walking left until you find it!

Enjoy, you will not regret it!
