Placerville Things to Do

  • Wine Tasting at Boeger Winery

A few miles North along Highway 50 is the Boeger Winery. It is a very comfortable winery to visit and there are ample picnic areas inside to bring a lunch, buy some wine at the winery and enjoy a wonderful day. Better than that, the wines are quite good. We especially enjoyed the Barbera and the varietal Milagro.

The interior was...

  • Bring lots of Dough

I believe this is the original Z Pie restaurant but I am not certain. We have dined at this establishment numerous times over the years. They offer a wide variety of meat and seafood and pies and a couple vegetarian pies also. All pies are single serving size which seem to have gotten smaller over the years but I can't verify that. They are rather...
