Pleasanton Restaurants

  • Grill? Really??

We dined at this restaurant for dinner in January, 2013. The use of the word 'Grill' in the name is a bit confusing to me. The place is a bit too upscale and the food too well prepared and served to call it a grill. Perhaps it has more of a Grill ambiance during lunchtime. Anyway, call it what you will, the service was great, food was imaginative...

This place is inside the mall near our hotel. It's a nice, quiet little place. When I ate there I ordered an appitizer platter. Don't remember exactly what it was called, but it was good.it had nachos&cheese,2 chicken tenders,4 mozzarella cheese sticks, and onion rings, but I replaced the onion rings for French fries.

  • Great Indian Food Buffet + Vegetarian

This restaurant does not look overly tempting from the outside, a bit bland looking, but dont let that fool you. The parking lot was full and there were many Indians dining there on our visit. The buffet is extremely large, with over 30 entrees, and excellent, with many vegetarian dishes. Everything we sampled was delicious. Lunch buffet Mon-Fri is...

  • Salads feed 4...

Small out of the way "strip mall" location but great food. Lunch typically handles the local businesses, but dinner gets people from all over the area. Well know for their food. Smoked Chicken Salad (for me)....large enough to feed two hungry people.

  • Sensational Sports Bar!

The Sunshine Saloon is quite different from the rest of the establishments in Pleasanton. It's a locals place for the locals who like something different than the family friendly upscale bars on Main Street and scattered around P-Town. The place is split into 2 sections; one is filled with TV's showing all the important sport events, including a...

If you are not going more than 10 miles from the hotel, take the hotel shuttle, there's no charge.if you are going into other towns to sight-see,take the subway, which is called the B.A.R.T system.if you are heading back to the airport and don't want to take a chance missing your plane, depending on what time you need to get to the airport, you can either take the shuttle to the subway station and get on the subway train to the airport,or take a taxi from the hotel to the subway station and the subway to the airport.

Murphy's Paw is a boutique pet store carrying not only food and treats, but pretty much anthing a dog or cat could want in the way of toys and "accessories." Melanie Sadek the owner or one of her employees is always ready to assist their 4-legged customers (or the 2-legged ones accompaning them).

Pleasanton What to Pack

Luggage and bags: Depending on what time of year you are going, make sure you bring a light or heavy jacket with you. If you plan on doing some shopping, bring you an empty bag to bring back you stuff,so you don't have to go and buy one, like I did.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Depending on what time of year you are going, make sure you bring a light or heavy jacket with you.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: The hotel supplies small samples of body wash, shampoo, body lotion, and sample size of bar soap. So all you would need to bring is hairspray, shaving cream,or whatever else you might need.

Photo Equipment: Take a camera with you if you decide to go sight-seeing.
