    Tourist and local drivers

The roads here are extremely curvy, and tourists tend to drive very slowly. Keep in mind that people who live here have appointments to get to, work to get to, kids to pick up, and places they need to go. Please pull over if someone gets behind you. So many times I have been behind another car going 25 MPH who wouldn't pull over, or who was stopped in the middle of the road, to look at the cows grazing or the ocean. I've seen local drivers get angry and frustrated, holding down their horns, passing illegally. Help keep our roads safe and anger-free by pulling over (and using your turn signal when you do!).

Stormy weather and the sea .....

Just remember, the ocean is cold up here in Point Arena - if you want to swim, you should plan on a wet suit. Currents are strong and the shores are rocky - these combine into a powerful force of nature and should be respected.

If you respect mother nature, she will respect you ... remember her power, and enjoy her beauty.
