    Looking towards the Pacific Ocean

On the drive out to Lementour Beach, park at the Bay View trail head, grab your picnic lunch, a picnic blanket and hit the trail down hill a little ways. You'll find this gorgeous, picturesque view, by which to eat your cookies.

    Backpacker's Delight

Over a high-btu stove, baby, this is as good as it gets.

Favorite Dish: Mmmm. Cheddar broccoli instant rice with onions and sausage. Instant mashed potatoes with onions and sausage. Chedd'r Cheese (processed cheese food). Water. Grand after a day of back packing!

Drakes Beach Cafe: One restaurant inside the PRNP

I haven't actually eaten here. However, it is literally the only restaurant within Point Reyes National Park. So if you happen to go to Drakes Beach, sort of on the way to the light house, then you'll have a chance to catch a bite to eat here.

    Tony's in Marshall: Fresh seafood

    View from the window.

This restaurant is a local place that serves fresh oysters and seafood. I had a grilled halibut and my wife had the scampi. The best menu options were the specials of the day. The main menu looked very generic. The halibut was good and my wife said the scampi was just average. The big winner were the French Fries. They were very fresh/warm and fryed well so they didn't taste heavy. Big item to know is they do not accept Credit cards or checks so remember to bring cash. We found cash only or sometimes check to be common near Pt. Reyes.

Somewhere on the Coast Trail, over a beach: A spot perfect for lunch

    Don't go any farther forward!

A lunch of mixed nuts, power bars and water hit the spot. Anything would hit the spot on a day like this, in a spot like this, with a view like this. Can you imagine anything better?
