    Greek Festival

I've been to quite a few festivals and some are good and some are bad. This one had a great Greek food selection! It wasn't cheap because the festival was a fundraiser for the Greek Orthodox Church. Entertainment was provided and even a cooking class. If you look online at the website, you could print a free entrance ticket. Keep your eye out for it next year!

Will probably be around the second week of July.

Ice Skate next to the Pacific Ocean this winter

by MarianneRules Written Dec 23, 2008

My jaw dropped when I heard about this. There is a man made lagoon at Redondo Beach called the Seaside Lagoon for kids to play in during the summer. This winter they converted it into an ice rink! No, they didn¡¦t freeze over ocean water (that¡¦s what I thought at first ƒº ) Its super cool and goofy fun. It¡¦s not a very big rink but big enough to be entertained for about 2 hours. There were kids, couples on a dates and groups of friends in their 20s-30s. The novelty of ice skating while having the view of the ocean is well worth the $14 and $4 parking fee.

By a one hour boat ride or 20 minutes by helicopter you arrive at Catalina Island. Chill, sight see, hike, play golf, or engage in water sport activities.
