One of the many great things about California is that it is so easy to find natural and ethnic food markets. One of my favorite and most reasonably priced is Trader Joe's. Worth checking out for its uniqueness. They are generally small but packed with stuff and people.
What to buy: So many unique items but I love the crystalized ginger snacks, the variety of wines, and the natural yogurts and ceriels.
What to pay: less than your standard grocer
