The serpentine grasslands of Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve are famous for their magnificent displays of wildflowers each spring. The park's location, within easy access to Interstate 280 and Edgewood Road, makes this beautiful display readily accessible to the population centers of the San Francisco Peninsula. The Park's 467 acres of woodlands and grasslands afford wonderful hiking and sightseeing opportunities
I've seen many deer, birds, jack rabbits, a snake and even one "cat' of sorts...

Kapadokia is a great little Turkish restaurant located in Redwood City's downtown area. You will find nothing but the freshest, homemade dishes at this restaurant. The owner and staff are Turkish and add to the authentic Turkish atmosphere. Wonderful food at reasonable prices.
Favorite Dish: Try the ISKENDER KEBAB (Slowly cooked thing slices of beef with tomato sauce, yogurt, melted butter and homemade flat bread) and make sure to save some room for a Turkish coffee and baklava.

Tarboush was a yummy and fun Lebanese restaurant in downtown Redwood City. It has a great atmosphere and killer cuisine. We went for a private party- but I imagine that the restaurant is a party every weekend. With belly dancers and a full bar, I imagine the fun never stops!
The patio is great for dining on summer nights and they have pretty strong heat lamps. The inside of the restaurant has a cool little fountain and pretty authentic and charming decor.
Favorite Dish: I tried many appetizers which were all delicious, but the Shish Taouk - Lebanese Chicken Skewers were the best. They were tender and tasty and not too spicy. The presentation was great too!

This is a down home restaurnat frequnted by the motorcycle crowd that plys skyline Boulevard daily and especially on the weekends. Try the chili or a burger. Service is friendly and accomodating. Its a little cramped inside, but it adds to the coziness of this place. Outdoor deck seating on picnic benches is also avialable.
Favorite Dish: The chili and the burgers are to die for.

The Main Street is a good local place to go for coffee and have breakfast. The coffee shop opens up on the side to a nice little patio. They even have a little play area for children. It's a very comfortable atmosphere, and the food and coffee are very good!
Favorite Dish: Coffee of the day, black of course. And a Hangover Bagel (good even if you do not have a hangover!). Hangover Bagel- Bagel of your choice with cream cheese, tomato, cracked pepper and green Tabasco sauce.
Also very good: Chilaquiles or Eggs Benedict.

Jogging Track
Nice place to Jog or just hang out is near the century park 12 theater. When you go over 101 and the road curves to the right, there is a little dirt parking lot. Park there, go through the gate. Good place to run or walk.
Panoramic Beauty
Go west on Edgewood Road until you go under 280, once there, a beautiful panorama of the mountains will open up. At the end of edgewood, take a right or left (dont remember the street name) and there is much to do as far as hiking, or just kicking it. Great place.
