My boys are not picky about this place. So far I have found that most are always clean, service is good and the food is wonderful. Denny's has a large selection on their menus. Plus serving breakfast is always a must for me....yay! This Denny's is a good size and was very busy that day. Lucky for us we got there when they weren't too busy, but it was when we left. There is a very nice bench area beneath the trees on the corner by the street. I thought that was neat if someone was out walking could still and cool off from the heat.
Favorite Dish: Lots to select from their menu.
If there had been a father amongst us we would have got a free drink seeing as its was Fathers Day, but alas no, so we bought our own! Surprisingly enough this was quite a nice diner....big, airy and clean where you order at the counter and then you are served at your table. Young friendly staff....yeah it was worth the stop.
Favorite Dish: Not a lot of choice other than burgers, fries and pizzas & pastas, but we all ate well, and the food was good.....and air conditioned!
The bar has a good selection, including giant glasses of Mexican beer on tap. It is especially dark, however, so reading the menu can be a challenge. But, if you want a pleasantly cool place in the middle of July, or don't like people watching you, then the bar is the place for you. The adjoining restaurant is modestly but nicely decorated. The service is very relaxed and friendly, but you have to be willing to get someone's attention once in a while. Entrees run $5-$15, and you get your money's worth. It's what Ridgecrest does best -- good quality with absolutely no formality.
Favorite Dish: Carne Asada, or anything else involving steak is delicious... and you have lots of good other choices in the category 'Especialites de la Casa' as well. These are more expensive but they are definitely worth a try. You will NOT find this kind of food at Chi-Chi's.
