DOWNTOWN Plaza, Sacramento
One of the best urban malls in America, this one offers movie houses, a Hard Rock Cafe, a brewpub, coffee shops, a large food court, and occasional live entertainment. It's an excellent place to watch people and chill out.
What to buy: The selection is huge. Stores include Ann Taylor, Bath & Body Works, Banana Republic, Suncoast, Payless Shoesource, Cingular Wireless, the Footlocker, GNC, Macy's, Mens Wearhouse, and many more.
What to pay: Generally, prices are about average.
The Westfield downtown Plaza shopping center is conveniently located close to Old Sacramento. It's an interesting shopping center, not just a regular mall.
It has a lot of open spaces with places to eat and many of the usual stores like Macy's, Ann Taylor, J. Crew, Banana Republic, 9 West, the Limited and other specialty shops.
It also has several movie theatres within the shopping center.
What to buy: There is a small Sacramento Souvenir Shop on the first floor near Macy's.
If ya wanna get a little shopping in, there is the plaza (I think that is where we went) not too many stores, but enough to keep you busy... we had a fun time in the hat shop on the bottom level... they have all kinds of crazy hats to try on *(]; -)
There are clothes stores here along with craft stores, beauty salon, etc.
Not going into details of one shop per say but the downtown mall as a whole. It consists of two levels and many stores. One of my favorite stores is Z Gallery. Spent way too much time and money there! =) At the West end of the mall you have a huge movie theater [near the food court]. At the other end of the mall there is a Hard Rock Cafe. In between you have a medley of different shops. Some local, others chain. Some small others huge. It's your typical mall.
What to buy: Nothing comes to mind.
What to pay: Prices are average, depending on what store you shop at.
