South of Sacramento, along the river, you will find the old Chinese town of Locke. It has the unique status of being the only town in the US built exclusively by the Chinese for the Chinese. It was built in 1920 and its original character has been well preserved. It is not a tourist trap or a ghost town but has authentic, genuine charm. Do not miss a visit to Locke if you are in the area!

Not many here. This is mostly a tourist area for people looking for California state Historical information, or touring the State Capitol. What's offered is generally free or of very minor cost. A good place for those looking for this type of stuff.
