Sightings Along the Way
Although a lot of the trail was still charred from a fire, we saw some beautiful vegetation and even a hippo! Keep your eyes open for these lovely reminders that nature always finds a way to prevail.
Ok, so we didn't see an actual hippo but the log looks an aweful lot like one- don't you think?
Burn your rubber - Route to Lake Arrowhead
Take a day trip to Lake Arrowhead (or Big Bear but that have been lately on news with quite serious news). The road is curvy and if you drive motorcycle, this route is highly recommended.
Those who have never driven motorcycle might unlike curvy roads where bike is canting left and right. That is one part of driving dynamics, think about profile of the wheel. It is different from cars, car's have flat surface when bike's have round. There's two ways to turn with bike (right and wrong), the right one is counter-steering when to initiate a turn toward a given direction by momentarily steering counter to the desired direction (steer right, turn left). This is fast, when you steer left (or push right side of the handle bar), bike turns right and cants (in that very order). The second way is to cant first using your body, causing the same turning event, but it's slowly compared to the counter-steering.
The whole track in wheel is mentioned to use, then you take your bike to it's limits. As shown in the picture, during downhill ride I definitely used whole part taking the bike to just best canting state, right?
Remember: push right side of handle bar ahead and bike cants right and turns right (if you don't trust me, try with bicycle, the physics are the same, use helmet and be careful).

- Road Trip
After you climb a lot of miles you find a calm, cool and sunny lake for a day visit (as we did, had no more time).
Lake Arrowhead is located in the San Bernardino Mountains of San Bernardino County, within the San Bernardino National Forest, surrounding the Lake Arrowhead Reservoir. There are about 12000 inhabitants and, sorry I put this to off-beated (it was that to me), there are some millions of visitors annually. By the way, the lake was named originally "Little Bear Lake" but I think some company changed is (for commercial reasons, I think) to "Arrowhead Lake".
There are hotels, motels and bed, cabins and condos so I can have all kind of accommodation, water and nature sports and have fun time.
