There are numerous restaurants + at least a few clubs in Gaslamp Quarter.
You can sit down and eat/drink something delicious there and watch the people around, there are probably all world races/faces walking around :-).
Dress Code:
Casual, in clubs casual or... something strange - depends on place :-)).
Little Italy is a stable ethnic business and residential community that's been around since the 1920's. It represents San Diego’s oldest continuous neighborhood business district.
Dress Code:
Today Little Italy is rebuilding its greatness. New Italian American and non-Italian business owners are seeking retail and professional space (creative builders and architects are building beautiful new developments) and the local redevelopment agency is funding more than 3-million in street improvements on the main commercial corridor, India Street.
What does this drawing ("Hamburger Mary's Portland Oregon") by the musicians' guitar box mean?
Does it mean that they are non San Diegans?, from Portland, oregon?
Btw top secret: people ususally put quarters or $1 notes inside their "THANK YOU" can :-))).
From Chris (Balfor):
Were they from Oregon? There is no telling if they were from Oregon or San Diego (or elsewhere). It is not uncommon for someone who plays in bars and pubs to pick up a sticker from the places he has played and put it on his guitar case. I'm sure that's what that sticker was from was some place that he had performed.
Thank you Chris!
Well, it said "Street Scenes". I finally found a use for this bad picture where the flash was turned off!
Walking around Gaslamp Quarter you can find some "street musicians" - these two guys on my photo played a very nice music, say them hello whenever you meet them :-).
Dress Code:
Casual = practical :-))).
Whenever you walk around Gaslamp Quarter at nighttime don't forget to say hello to San Diego policemen - they ride black police bicycles.
But the sound of saxophone was just great (for me) - hmm... I would prefer to listen to this guy playing sax only but the guitar played at the same time :-((.
