Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Even though San Diego is warm and sunny, it's right on the water and can still get chilly. If you go to the baseball game, bring a blanket or warm clothes! It was a hot and sunny day here, but we were sitting in the shade and freezing because of the breeze. I might just be a big wimp, but I think other people in my group were cold too!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Even though San Diego lies within 30 miles of the mexican border (33 rd paralell or so) it tends to have a cool climate even in the summer months. June can be the worst wth overcast skies and temps in the lower 60's F.... so have a light sweater with you anytime of the year.

Luggage and bags: Pack to your heart's content. San Diego is a fairly safe place in the tourist areas, so bring whatever you want to bring if you are staying in a fairly upscale hotel. However, if you are planning to stay at a motel, perhaps you might want to think twice before you bring any serious valuables, as I am not sure what the security is like there.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: There is usually a nice ocean breeze, so it's good to bring a light jacket/windbreaker any time of the year (at least for the evenings). For those of us who get cold pretty quick, bring a thicker jacket! Bring your swimsuit, slippers & whatever beach gear you'd like to take along with you.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Don't worry about this too much. San Diego provides everything you will probably need, unless your medical supplies are specific to your medical condition.
Photo Equipment: Bring disposable/digital/videocams to record the beautiful scenery and sights.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: You can go camping in the San Diego mountains, but bring whatever camping gear you need. I do believe that some campgrounds even have cabins, so maybe you might want to check on that. For beach gear, you can just bring your swimsuit or purchase one in most nearby shopping location. Flipflops, sunscreen/sunblock, etc. are all available for purchase at fairly decent prices.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The weather is fantastic in that it doesn't really rain a whole lot, and it stays fairly moderate from day to night as well. Being on the ocean the humidity is definitely a change for me(but a pleasant one!) and I found I do generally need to layer for the evening, it's not cold, but a sweater or long sleeved shirt was good against the cool and moist air.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I recommend a lightweight nylon jacket for walks near the ocean at night unless it is Summer. You may need it during day, too, anytime but Summer.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Be sure to pack long sleeves or a light jacket even in the summer. The evenings get a little chilly even in July!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You will always need some sort of wrap for the night. Always pack it with just in case. YOu will get cold; unless you are from Siberia.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen - all SPF's
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Strap on Beach chair

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Make sure you bring a light jacket or cardigan sweater. It can get nippy in the afternoon to evening.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Light jacket for evening wear - even in summer. It's very unlikely you'll need an umbrella or rain gear, though.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sun screen.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Take beach wear, but include wrap.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Summer gear, most of the year. Even in summer, it can get cold in the evenings, so bring a sweatshirt. In winter, it's still moderate, but can be chilly.
