    Remember Your VT Gear!!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: On the VT Gear website the question is asked, "Ever wonder who you're standing next to?"

Well, that is one reason to wear VT gear, but I have another reason.

To easily keep track of my grandkids while we are on an adventure!

As you can see from the photo, they each have their own style, yet, where ever we were--this time at the San Diego Zoo--they were always easy to find in the crowd!

What to wear (and what not to wear)

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It's true, it doesn't rain here. We just had 190 straight days without rain. It does get cool at night in the winter, but that just means that instead of it being 65 degrees at night, it's 55 degrees. Pack one pair of long pants and one light jacket. Everything else should be shorts and t-shirts. That's what we all wear here.

Luggage and bags: For you ladies I would recommend a purse that can go from day to evening wear and a backpack for the beach or other outdoor activities.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: San Diego is a laid-back town. Shorts, jeans, tennies, and tanktops are required. A light jacket or sweatshirt should suffice.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bring bikinis, flip-flops, a towel, suntan lotion, sunblock, and a hat.

Miscellaneous: Don't forget to bring something for your evenings out!

Luggage and bags: It depends on you....make sure to bring a bag that can have all you need fit into it and have room for the things you may buy while there.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: bring good walking shoes....and clothes for warmer weather (during Fall, Spring, and Summer). It gets very hot and humid in Southern California. In the winter jeans and t-shirts with a light jacket will be warm enough.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Make sure to bring Sunblock!!!! If not you will get a VERY bad sunburn!

Photo Equipment: It is up to you what amera you would liek to bring. Point and shoot cameras are good to bring to attractions because they are less in the way but if you want to bring a 35 mm SLR camera...feel free to do so.

    Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: will need it!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring sandals or nice comfy shoes. It does get warm here but at night it gets kind of chilly. I didn't get to be there in winter but summer was a nice balmy temperature.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunblock to avoid skin cancer and sunburn is always a good thing.

Miscellaneous: See how bright it is? This cactus was pretty old that I was standing beside... and pretty prickly. Make sure that you take plenty of water around because if you start to get thirsty, you waited too long to take a drink.

Luggage and bags: Anything your comfortable with but always with a lock. Pays to be careful.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: In May it will be hot so comfortable clothing that breathes and helps keep you cool. Tennis shoes, sandals, shoes for the night life.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: The basics that you would carry on any trip. Also sunscreen, tanning lotion and Aloe Vera gel for sunburn.
